Special Conditions for requesting copies and information

Special conditions

The EROMM steering committee encourages agreements among EROMM Libraries, which aim at establishing special conventions on fast and inexpensive delivery of service copies among them. Such coalitions will render the delivery of service copies among any coalition independent of rules, that govern the supply of service copies to library users. In essence such an agreement shall include the following,

  1. For any order received via EROMM no payment prior to delivery shall be asked.
  2. When receiving an order via EROMM the receipt will be acknowledged within three working days to the requester‘s e-mail address.
  3. When receiving an order via EROMM a service copy will be produced without delay.
  4. The service copy and the related invoice (if any) will be sent at the same time.
  5. Special pricing is granted to all parties to the specific agreement.
  6. Standard prices for copies (per microfiche, microfilm frame or reel, hardcopy page, etc.) will enable the requester to estimate costs.

Being an EROMM Partner or working together with EROMM as an EROMM Library does not automatically imply that an institution concedes any special conditions to EROMM Requests. This is always subject to a separate agreement on mutual basis.

Only EROMM Libraries and Partners may enjoy preferential conditions of pricing and delivery time. It is essential in becoming an EROMM library that a participating library is contributing records of its own to EROMM and is able to produce and deliver service copies. If your library is interested in being part of an agreement along these lines, please e-mail the EROMM Secretariat and make reference to this webpage.

List of cooperating libraries

The following libraries have agreed to offer each other a discount of 5% off the price regularly charged, when they supply use copies of surrogates upon orders recieved via EROMM Request. This price reduction is granted mutually among cooperating libraries and does not apply to other institutions or individuals.

A library may acquire the status of a cooperating library, when it has contributed records to the EROMM Database either directly or through their national EROMM Partner. In addition it must accept to deliver copies upon EROMM requests at the same discount.
